I loved this post. I had just gotten finished with my daily meditation and relaxed right into this one. Great thought about the role that bells play in our lives. Remember the brass bell to call us all home for dinner when we were kids. Could be heard for three blocks round.

I sure do, sister! 9 peeps in the family...nine dings, in sets of 3. Calling all Wesolek kids..."come home and eat" (goulash, or roast beef (aka "stringy"), or split pea soup!

Hi, Jessica. Nice comment. We’re had varying kinds of bells from triangles to air horns (ugh). My Dad, rest his troubled soul, was a colonel in the Army. He had a lot of fears. I wish he had known about these kinds of practices. They would likely have brought him a measure of peace. So, given his character, when my Mom rang our bell, you absolutely better come running! Fast! But, we were used to it so bells don’t bring any negative connotations. To the contrary, it was time for dinner!

A WEALTH of information here. I loved the video, as well. I can be triggered and immediately become reactive in a millisecond (feeling unsafe ) ... It's usually " News " related ..

I am grateful I can find and practice and utilize these tools. Thank you so much. Love, StacyO

I liked your explanation of the bell. In fact, in every aspect, this meditation was particularly gentle therapy. Thank you, Cassie!
