New book, New event, New you?
I use the word new figuratively today, because the essence of the book, the event, and the YOU I’m addressing, are far from new (no offense on the you aren’t new, therefore old, inference).
The book is Living Untethered by Michael Singer, the live event is Spring Forward 2024 with Cassie Schindler, and the you is, well…you.
THE NEW BOOK
Has anyone every recommended a book to you, saying, “You’ve gotta read it…it’s the best book ever written”?
Those of you who know me, know that I’m an insatiable reader, and have lots of book recommendations.
Up until recently, if you asked me what my fave book is, I’d have answered The Untetethered Soul, by Michael Singer (2007).
NOW, this newest book (2022) of Michael’s, replaces the former favorite.
I’m going to boldly suggest that Living Untethered, be a must-read for all.
Regardless of your spiritual or religious affiliation, this book speaks to the human predicament and ongoing challenges we face with the voice in our heads, and unskillful choices, that stem from our unresolved wounds from the past.
Whew…if that sounds like a lot? It is.
Believe it or not, there’s a formula for dissolving and letting go of “blockages” in the system. This book truly builds a scaffolding that takes you to the place of renewing your true self.
Michael Singer writes with the authority, honesty and wisdom that can only come from a life of exploration into the innermost depths of the mind and heart. A life where surrendering control in any given moment, and instead, allowing life to unfold, was the ultimate experiment.
And, he delivers this info in an entertaining and understandable way!
If the book delivers what it offers, you can look forward to plenty of moments of freedom and bliss, that aren’t contingent upon things all lining up perfectly - all of the time.
Ahh..and Ommm.

The centerpiece of the Spring Forward 2024 event on April 13 in San Mateo, will be the concepts and practical applications of Michael Singer’s book Living Untethered.
Last October, each of these seats were filled with open-minded, curious humans who came for a day of exploration, meditation, connection and a sumptuous, homemade plant-based lunch.
Currently there are 22 registered, and plenty of space.
I’m looking forward to filling the San Mateo Garden Center with individuals who are ready to Spring Forward in their lives - especially perhaps, in this year, of heightened discourse and unpredictability.

This outdoor event begins at 10:30am and ends promptly at 4pm. Dress in layers. Mostly, April is mild, with high 60's to 70 degree temps.
If rain or cold weather should make an appearance, we'll move into the Redwood Hall (with open doors), which overlooks the gazebo and patio.
Restrooms are available within the Garden Center.
There will be chairs for everyone, and you are encouraged to bring your own cushion(s), blanket and/or yoga mat.
Spring Forward 2024 is open to ALL ADULT HUMANS! No children or pets, please.
This event will include:
Meditation Practices - both seated, or lying down (optional)
Mindful Activities laced on the concepts of the book, Living Untethered
Mindful Eating! A delicious plant-based lunch will be served at 12:30pm
It will be wonderful to share the day with you!
