Before I get into the essence of Gentle Reminders, I’ll begin this post with a timely one. The final day to register for a powerful day of mindfulness, is this Friday, 9/29. Scroll to the bottom of this post to see (and share?) the invite to Mani-FEST on 10/21 in San Mateo.
Now, about gentle reminders. . .
Not long after I was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis), I decided those initials stood for two words that ultimately led me down my ongoing path to wellness — many signs.
Leading up to the diagnosis, I was given many signs along the way, to remind me to come back to my self, and lovingly tend to the out-of-balance state of my mind/ body/soul.
Initially, these signs and gentle reminders were just that…gentle.
Eventually, they grew in intensity, and manifested as nervous system assaults, that would no longer be ignored.
In other words, my nervous system was mad as hell, and wasn’t gonna take it any more!
What were my signs and gentle reminders? Here are the top 5!
Sign: Fatigue. Reminder: Get more hours of sleep.
Sign: More fatigue, plus mental and physical discomfort and emotional regrets. Reminder: Moderate alcohol.
Sign: Compromised quality with home and work projects. Reminder: Slow down and focus.
Sign: Self-shame. Reminder: Work lovingly with prior, poor life choices and practice self-forgiveness.
Sign: STRESS! Reminder: Meditate more — make time for rejuvenation.
A gentle reminder for you today, is to practice mindfulness, aka pay attention to your life!
Are there signs that you are under-doing, overdoing, ruminating, stressing, worrying, regretting, or experiencing imbalance of any flavor?
Now is the only moment we truly have, and NOW is the time to manifest the changes you’d like to see come to life, in your life!
Best, for now,
Cassie
I love when you make things so simple!
Perfect. Thank you so much.
